Fast Fact: 1 in 6 Men Will Develop Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer is the most common type of cancer affecting American men. It is estimated that over 230,000 new cases will be diagnosed this year. The key to prostate cancer being treatable is early detection. Screening tools such as the PSA and the digital rectal exam are available to detect the disease. Healthy men 50 and over should be screened yearly.
