Cervarix HPV Vaccine May Seek FDA Approval at the End of Year

You may have heard a lot of news and controversy about Gardasil, the recent HPV vaccine recently approved the FDA to prevent HPV, a virus that causes cervical cancer.

What you may not know is that Gardasil may soon have a competitor vaccine on the market. Cervarix, manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline, is an HPV vaccine that may seek FDA approval by the end of the year. The vaccine has shown amazing result in trials.

Although Cervarix does not protect against strains of HPV that cause genital warts like Gardasil does, it was 100% effective against two strains of cervical cancer causing HPV in trials. That is impressive. Learn more about Cervarix HPV vaccine...
