Abnormal Pap Smear Results

Tuesday August 15, 2006
If you have had a Pap smear before, you know the drill. Most doctors send out a card in the mail if everything came back normal, and abnormal Pap smear results warrant a phone call and follow up appointment. This can be a frightening experience, especially if a woman is not familar with what abnormal Pap results entail.

I recommend that all women educate themselves about possible Pap results - both normal and abnormal. This way when it is time to receive results, a woman will already have some knowledge of the possible results and be able to ask appropriate questions. Learn more about abnormal Pap smear results.
