Former Texas Governor Ann Richards Succumbs to Cancer

Ann Richards, former Texas governor, has died of esophageal cancer. She was 73. Richards passed away September 13th in her Austin home, reportedly surrounded by friends and family.
Those wishing to send memorial gift may do so in her honor at the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders through the Austin Community Foundation.
