New Hampshire Makes HPV Vaccine Free to All Girls

New Hampshire health officials have announced plans to make the HPV vaccine free to young girls, beginning in January 2007. This makes New Hampshire the first state to offer the vaccine at no cost.
Gardasil, the HPV vaccine, was approved for used by the FDA in June 2006. It prevents four types of HPV that are known to cause cervical cancer and genital warts.
