The controversy surrounding the HPV vaccine has heated up lately, with religious and family advocacy groups voicing their opposition against the vaccine that prevents a virus known to cause cervical cancer in women. Supporters of the vaccine are just as passionate about young women getting the vaccine. What's your take?

Your poll is misleading -
why would anyone not support the opportunity for a vaccine?
The question is mandating the vaccine.
Does the government eg the state of Texas have the authority to mandate a vaccination taht may take 10 years to prove is not harmful?

I agree to the vacine but not mandated by the state. And I do not agree with vaccinating below age 13.

My daughter had cervical cancer at a very young age caused by the HPV virus. We would have been thrilled if a vaccine had been available at that time.

I am all for the HPV vaccination and had my daughter given 2 shots so far. I would love to see more information on this issue though, since I’ve started to worry when I see (esp on YouTube) many anti-vaccination opinions. Three girls died after being given this vaccination. I cannot find the details on this- perhaps their death was caused by something other than the vaccination? I thought it was safe!
