Have a 'Sun Safe' 4th of July!

While you are celebrating the 4th of July today, remember to be sun safe! Today people will be boating, grilling, and participating in many outdoor activities that allow lots of sun exposure. Being sun savvy is an important safety precaution!

The first rule of thumb is to lather on the sunscreen, even if its cloudy in your area! Check out these tips about sunscreen:

Second, remember to try to avoid being outdoors between the hours of 10am and 3pm. This is when the sun's rays are at it's strongest, potentially causing skin damage. But, if you must be outside, try to stay in a shady area and wear sun protective clothing.
