Study: Testicular Cancer May Raise Divorce Rate

A new study from Norwegian researchers have found that couples faced with a testicular cancer diagnosis are at an increased risk for divorce. According to the study, this is also true of cervical cancer. The reason behind the increased risk? The author of the study says that the compromise of sexual intimacy is to blame. Due to treatment and emotional side effects of the disease, intimacy can be difficult for patients.
Early detection may be possible through monthly testicular self exams. Men should educate themselves on testicular cancer symptoms, so they know exactly what to look for when performing the monthly exam.
Although researchers aren't sure of what exactly causes testicular cancer, they have identified several risk factors for the disease. Men should learn testicular cancer risk factors. Very interesting article.
I wish that they knew about this in the 1970’s when I was born!! It could of prevented from having testicular cancer at 33 during the summer of 2006!! Hopefully this will help other young men by not having to go though what I did in my 30’s!!
