Author Michael Crichton Succumbs to Cancer

Some of us were fans from the beginning with the bestseller, The Andromeda Strain. Others may recognize his name from Jurassic Park. Either way, Michael Crichton's work weaved into our lives through his novels that eventually made it to the silver screen. Even though Hollywood came calling, Crichton remained a private person, battling cancer out of the public eye. His family released a statement today saying that the prolific author had lost his battle with cancer. No further information was released other than that a private funeral service would be held.
