Having Gallstones is the Greatest Risk Factor for Gallbladder Cancer

Did you know that the most common and greatest risk factors for developing gallbaldder cancer is having gallstones? Gallstones are deposits of calcium or cholesterol that settle in the gallbladder or bile ducts. They often produce no symptoms, or require treatment. However, they can cause "gallbladder attacks", causing a person to experience severe nausea and abdominal pain.

If you have gallstones, discuss your gallbladder cancer risk factor with your doctor. Together, you can determine a health plan that may help reduce your risk and aid in early detection.
