Join Kelly Ripa To Fight Ovarian Cancer One Lemonade Glass at a Time
Monday June 22, 2009
Talk show host Kelly Ripa has teamed up with Electrolux to fight ovarian cancer by inviting people to open up virtual lemonade stands online! It's a really cool concept of raising funds and awareness about ovarian cancer. Here's the official info:
It takes about 2 minutes to open up a free lemonade stand. Plus, for each stand opened, $1 goes to ovarian cancer research - even if you don't raise any funds! Even more exciting is that every time you log into stand or if someone donates, you are entered into a contest to win an Electrolux French Door refrigerator. Check out my lemonade stand and design your own!

This summer, exclusively at electroluxappliances.com, people can design and open their own virtual lemonade stands and even pick the flavors of lemonade they want to feature from Sparkling Ginger to Rosemary Watermelon. For every stand opened, Electrolux will donate $1 to OCRF as part of its $500,000 commitment to help fight ovarian cancer. In addition, participants can help the cause even more by selling virtual glasses of lemonade to their friends and family. 100 percent of their proceeds will go to OCRF.

After I had chemo I noticed that all of the hair on my body was now gone(fourten days after it stared). It was about three weeks after chemo that I started radiation. That put the under arm hair on my left,on alert for the next few months. My radiation ended as of Jan. of 09 and I still have no underarm hair.(either side)Having no hair on my body, felt like I had just gotten a body wax and that was good after all of the rotten stuff.
