Son of Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Nell, Redmond O'Neill, has been granted permission to attend his mother's funeral (Radaronline.com). Redmond is currently serving a sentence at the L.A. County jail for drug charges. According to reports, the family was trying to get an order allowing Redmond to see his mother before she died, but for unknown reasons, it did not take place.
I can only imagine the guilt and sorrow Redmond is feeling. Had he not been incarcerated, he could have said his final goodbyes to his mother. To grieve in the comforts of your home is hard enough, let alone in a jail cell. My thoughts certainly go out to Redmond and the Fawcett/O'Neill family.

At the last minute, he was allowed to see his Mother before she died. She was at home, as her best friend had been taping her ordeal with her cancer. I saw him standing over her, calling out “Mom, it’s Red (apparently his nickname)” with a Sheriff standing next to him. I was glad to see that he was allowed to see her before she did pass away. I don’t know if she reacted or not as her bedroom was very dark and she was covered up, obviously in severe pain. Perhaps, he will get away from drugs. And for all she had been through, even at 62 on good days, she looked like she was in her late 40’s. The Sheriff’s department does have a heart, as this has happened with other families, a parent is dying and they allow the son or daughter so see their parent for the last time. I do believe it depends on their conviction as well.
May the two of them shared a few minutes together and I know Ryan must be in so much mental pain and grief. They were together for many years. I think it was very brave of her to have her battle with cancer taped, even the bad days. It can be a wake up call for those who have been slow in getting standard cancer testing.
Rockygurl, Farrah was not in her bedroom when she died. She was in the hospital. The meeting with her son in her bedroom was weeks ago and was shown on the TV documentary. No one has shown any video of Farrah actually dying in the hospital.
Dear Lisa,
It gives the true feeling of a soldier who knows only the duty to guard the border of his Nation. You have been doing a great work. A point to note that we must not show any mercy for those involved with drugs.
