Treatment Approved for Peripheral T-Cell Lymphoma

We hear about new treatments being approved everyday for diseases, but the the approval of a new drug for a rare type of lymphoma is certainly news worth celebrating. The drug, Folotyn (pralatrexate), is unique because there is no treatment is available for peripheral T-cell lymphoma. The FDA has approved it's use in those with peripheral T-cell lymphoma that has recurred or has not previously responded to other treatments. The drug is expected to available in October.
