To raise money for leukemia research and to show support for football coach Chuck Pagano, two cheerleaders from the Indianapolis Colts have shaved their heads. Just a few weeks ago, several players from the team took a seat in the barber's chair, shaving their heads in support of Pagano, who was diagnosed with leukemia not long after being hired as the head coach this year. Oh, did I mention these ladies had their heads shaved by the team's mascot (with a little help, of course) during yesterday's game? If you didn't catch it live, check out the video at NFL.com.
What a great show of support and a way to raise money for leukemia research. The cheerleaders, Megan M. and Crystal Ann, raised over $20,000 and most certainly generated awareness for the disease. Way to go, ladies!
