Question: Who is at Risk for Breast Cancer?

I am 34, don't smoke, drink a little, with no family history of breast cancer. Am I still at risk for breast cancer?

Answer: The plain fact is that being a woman and aging increase your risk factor for breast cancer. In essence, all women have a relative risk of developing breast cancer.

Certain risk factors can increase your chances of developing breast cancer. Many risk factors can be avoided, however some risk factors for breast cancer cannot be controlled like genetics.
