Definition: Cervical is a term commonly used to reference the cervix, the opening of the uterus in the female reproductive system. In relation to cancer, the cervix is vulnerable to malignant disease, called cervical cancer. Other examples of the use of the term cervical include cervical dysplasia, cervical os, and cervical stenosis.
The term cervical is also used to describe the neck. Usage examples include cervical lymph nodes, cervical vertebrae, and cervical disc.
