Question: What are cruciferous vegetables?

I have read that cruciferous veggies are great in preventing cancer. But, what exactly are cruciferous vegetables?

Answer: Cruciferous vegetables include broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, and kale. They are classified in the cabbage family.

According to the American Cancer Society, these veggies are thought to contains certain chemicals that aid in preventing colorectal cancer.

Keep in mind that there are benefits to eating all types of vegetables. Don't just limit yourself to a few!
