There are quite a few symptoms of head and neck cancer because there are many different types of head and neck cancer. Fortunately, many if the cancers do present symptoms early. The earlier the cancer is detected the better the prognosis and more options in treatment.

Common Head and Neck Cancer Symptoms

  • lump or sore that does not go away
  • difficulty or pain when swallowing
  • change in the voice
  • hoarseness
  • ear pain or ringing in the ears


If you are experiencing the symptoms of head and neck cancer, please see you doctor as soon as possible. Many of the symptoms of head and neck cancer are those of other benign conditions. it's better to be safe than sorry. Early detection is key to excellent survival rates.
