Question: The HPV Vaccine and Pregnancy

How safe is the HPV vaccine during pregnancy? Can pregnant women receive the vaccine?

Answer: Pregnant women should not get the HPV vaccine at this time. Although there is no data that reflects negative effects on a pregnancy or fetus caused by the vaccine, the data is limited.

On the contrary, breastfeeding women can safely receive the HPV vaccine without harming her child.
