Question: Liver Cancer Causes
What causes liver cancer?
Answer: Unfortunately, the exact causes of liver cancer aren't known at this time. Researchers have identified several known risk factors for liver cancer, though.
Just like all cancers, researchers believe that liver cancer may be caused by damage to the liver cells DNA. Normally, our bodies are able to repair the damage, but in some cases it can't.
Smoking, alcohol abuse, being infected with hepatitis, or having other liver diseases are all factors that increase the chance of developing liver cancer.
