Melanoma

This area is considered abnormal for many reasons. You can see that not only it is asymmetrical, but the color is not consistent -- there are several, varying shades of color. Normal moles or spots are normally uniform in color. The abnormal mole and surrounding area also lacks a consistent, even border, which can be a red flag for melanoma.
