Small Cell Lung Cancer Symptoms

Small cell lung cancer is an aggressive type of lung cancer that is primarily caused by smoking. It may or may not produce symptoms. Possible signs and symptoms of small cell lung cancer include:
  • persistent cough
  • blood in sputum
  • wheezing
  • chest pains
  • unintentional weight loss
  • fever not related to flu or other known infection
  • swelling of the face

What to Do if You Have Symptoms of Small Cell Lung Cancer

If you are experiencing any signs and symptoms of small cell lung cancer, see your doctor. It is important for your doctor to know that you think you may be at risk. Together, you can determine your risk, and perform tests if necessary.
