Stomach cancer prevention begins with avoiding risk factors for the disease. Risk factors increase the possibility that a person may develop a disease. There is no absolution in risk factors.

Tips for Preventing Stomach Cancer

  • Evaluate Your Salt Intake.Diets with a high salt intake have been associated with stomach cancer. Avoid an excessive intake of cured or pickled meats and vegetables.

  • Eat Your Veggies.Studies show that a diet high in fruits and veggies that contain beta carotene and vitamin C can decrease the risk factor for stomach cancer.

  • Know your medical history.Certain bacterial infections like Helicobacter pylori, increases your risk factot. If you have Helicobacter pylori infection, talk to your doctor about the risk of developing stomach cancer.
