Who Are You Paying Tribute To?
My beautiful wife Chrissy
Tell Us About Their Cancer and Treatment
Chrissy was diagnosed in 2008 with Esophageal Cancer (adeno-carcinoma of the GE junction) Stage 3 with lymph node involvement. Out of the 30 lodes removed, she had involvement in 15 of them.
What About Them is/was Special and Unique?
Chrissy was involved all around the world with support groups, running chats, blogs. etc for Kidney cancer, for which I am a survivor. How ironic that she fell foul to her own cancer.
What Impact Did Their Cancer Have On You?
I have lost not only my wife, partner, but also my soul-mate of 18yrs.
We lived shared everything 24/7, and only got closer as the years progressed. I am totally devastated, lost, have a pain and ache in my heart, but know she is still by my side. I talk to her and still take her out with me dining, shopping just don't care what others think.
Is There Anything You Would Like To Share?
Chrissy had a special gift of touching peoples hearts, however she met, and they in-turn would become life long friends. Me on the other hand are a little shy and she would help me to try and overcome this.
She was and is a beautiful soul, unselfish, caring, never once complaining about herself, even when her cancer reoccurred, she was very brave up until her passing.
What I'd Do Differently
- I don't think anybody could change what happens in our lives, or look back, as i believe we have our destiny to follow and this is just a part of it. A journey in life and a journey in death.
